Louis Vuitton Tops the Luxury Brands Again

Although people’s wallets and purses got slim last year because of the economic crisis. And the luxury industry was also hit by a decrease in sales for people tried every way to save money. But this is not the same embarrassment faced by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and some other luxury brands. Instead, they swimmed against the bleak economic stream and reported a triumph in turnover. According to the brand ranking released by Global brand strategy and financial consultancy firm Millwards Brown Optimor on April 28th 2010, Louis Vuitton still takes the No.1, with a brand value of $19.8 billion, up 2 percent on 2009, ranking it 29th worldwide across all industries, That’s more than the combined value of rival labels Hermes and Gucci, which placed second and third in the luxury standings and ranked 86th and 97th overall.
